Welcome to Little Brampton Cookery School by Vegify. Vegify is a recipe website representing all tastes and cuisines. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more confident cook, Vegify is all about creating dishes where meat isn’t the focal point, but taste always is!
After creating new exciting vegetarian recipes, I wanted to share my love of vegetarian cooking with others on a practical basis. Having attended a few cookery classes over the years, many when we have been travelling abroad, I was keen to hold group classes to demonstrate and teach how to cook delicious and innovative vegetarian food. The classes are designed to be fun, relaxed and sociable. They are suitable for all levels of cooking ability – from the complete novice to the competent cook. Each course is very hands-on and you will be preparing a range of dishes on each course. The emphasis is on enjoying the experience of cooking and having fun rather than trying to become the next Michelin-starred chef!
About Me
Beth Parmar – Founder of Vegify
I’m a self-taught home cook with a passion for all types of food and I’ve always been interested in discovering and creating new recipes. I love nothing more than a few hours in the kitchen to try out new ideas with all sorts of ingredients and foods from all around the world. I love entertaining and I love eating out.
Background
My professional background is in training, both in the corporate environment and most recently in developing my own series of training sessions for children and parents in areas such as confidence building and study skills.
Origin of Vegify
I developed Vegify to bring together my love of food and my expertise in training and I hope to share the concept of ‘vegifying’ recipes through my cookery courses at Little Brampton Barn as well as my recipes on my website vegify.co.uk.
Why Vegify?
Vegify will show you how to create meals that are both flavourful, nutritious and really easy to prepare so you will never feel you’re missing out on anything at all!
Vegetarian recipes can often be seen as boring or tasteless and it can sometimes be difficult to know how to be innovative and creative when preparing food without meat.
I created Vegify to show how easily traditional meat-based meals can be transformed into super tasty vegetarian alternatives by removing the meat and adding in natural flavours and textures to make them totally delicious. The general food trend appears to be moving more towards a vegetarian diet, with many people now choosing not to eat meat every day either due to health reasons, animal welfare and environmental concerns or simply looking to save money … Vegify helps you to achieve all of these things.
Our cookery classes are suitable for all tastes. Below you can see the number of available spaces, dates and times. The classes are designed for pairs working together so unfortunately we cannot accommodate bookings for single spaces.

Available Classes
Tantalise your taste buds with delicious flavours from the Middle East in this 4-hour cookery experience. Arrive at 6pm to be introduced to the concept of mezze and the components of this tasty, socialable and fun way of dining.
Working in pairs, we will prepare several mezze dishes such as feta, spinach and date pastries, baba ganoush, hummus with harissa-spiced chickpeas, middle eastern olive, pepper, halloumi and sundried tomato skewers, tomato and mint salad, chilli, honey and lemon drizzle and a Middle Eastern Style orange dessert. When all the dishes have been prepared, we will then sit and eat together, savouring the delights we have created.

Be delighted by the flavours of Spain with this four hour cookery experience. During session, we will be preparing a tapas style meal including dishes such as Croquetas, Batatas Bravas and authentic Spanish Chickpea and Spinach stew, rounded off with a delicious dessert such as Crema Catalana or a rich chocolate mousse.
Working in pairs, you will watch a demonstration of each dish and then recreate the Spanish inspired menu for yourselves, eating each course together washed down with some authentic Spanish drinks.

Learn to cook dishes you won’t find in an Indian restaurant as we explore some of the more traditional dishes cooked in Indian family homes. Vegetarian cooking is easy when making Indian dishes as the flavours and textures are so varied that you really won’t miss the meat!
Working in pairs, you will create dishes to serve in a traditional 'Thali' - an authentic way to present a variety of Indian dishes. You will prepare a starter such as tandoori paneer and red pepper kebabs, Bombay style potatoes or saag aloo samosas, followed by a section of traditional vegetable curries, dhal and rice. You will also learn some quick and easy ways to make Indian breads such as naan and chappatis. And of course, the meal wouldn’t be complete without a delicious sweet Indian dessert. After preparing the dishes, you will all sit down together and eat the fabulous food that you have created.

Learn to cook a flavour-packed medley of dishes from around South Asia. Working in pairs, you will create a delicious three course meal, taking inspiration from Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Sri Lankan cuisines. Dishes such as fluffy Bao buns, fragrant pho noodle soups, crispy rice paper rolls and spicy coconut curries. After preparing the dishes, you will all sit down together and eat the fabulous food that you have created.

Italian cuisine is so varied and it lends itself perfectly to the vegetarian diet. There are so many options when it comes to cooking Italian food from pastas, risottos and pizzas through to delicious salads, snacks and side dishes as well as the most delicious decadent desserts – we have a lot of fabulous food to choose from.
Working in pairs you will create dishes such as spinach and ricotta ravioli, wild mushroom risotto with crispy parmesan, calzone with roasted vegetables and mozzarella and panzanella salad, all finished off with a delicious creamy Italian dessert. You will then sit down together and eat what you have prepared.

Sometimes it can be overwhelming to start a new way of eating or simply looking for tasty ideas for your “meat free Monday”. Or perhaps a family member or friend is vegetarian and you are looking for inspiration for meals to offer them. The “Veggie Inspiration” course will give you a range of ideas and options for adding more vegetarian meals into your diet and offer lots of tips to reduce meat consumption without feeling you are missing out on texture or flavour.
Working in pairs, you will create a three course vegetarian meal which you will then sit and enjoy.

Christmas cuisine is traditionally very meat focussed so this course will focus on ways to introduce delicious vegetarian dishes to your Christmas dining table. Whether you are cooking for yourself or have vegetarian guests for Christmas, everyone will want to try the vegetarian option this year!
Working in pairs you will create some vegetarian nibbles and snacks before tackling an impressive vegetarian centrepiece ideal for Christmas Day lunch. We will also look at some interesting vegetable side dishes before creating an alternative Christmas dessert. After preparing all the dishes you will then sit down together and eat what you have created.

In this session we will be discovering lots of ways to make fantastic and tasty vegan dishes.
Working in pairs, you will create a number of vegan dishes ranging from snacks to main courses and also some delicious sweet treats. You’ll be amazed how many dishes can be made to suit a vegan diet and you won’t feel like anything is missing at all! We will look at some store cupboard staples that help ensure your vegan cooking tastes great, and you will leave with a delicious variety of recipes that you will want to make again and again. You will sit down together and eat everything you have created at the end of the course.
Exact menu items will vary from course to course, but you can expect to prepare dishes such as honey sriracha cauliflower, BBQ jackfruit, mushroom souvlaki, miso aubergines, rich chocolate mousse, fruit and nut energy balls and hot fudge pudding.

In this class we will be discovering how to create a fantastic, innovative and delicious vegetarian afternoon tea
Working in pairs, you will create a number of mouthwatering dishes which will make up a luxurious afternoon tea. You’ll be amazed how you will be able to serve these dishes for delicious lunches and snacks too. You will sit down together and eat everything you have created at the end of the course.
Exact menu items will vary from course to course, but you can expect to prepare both sweet and savoury dishes which go beyond simply sandwiches and scones. The class will include recipes from around the world to add an innovative twist to this classic tradition.
Price per person includes all food, drink (including Prosecco) and cookery instruction. The course is designed for working in pairs and there will be a maximum of four pairs on each session.
What to bring to Cookery Classes
We will supply everything you need for the cookery class - all ingredients, equipment, aprons and refreshments. Please wear comfortable clothes and footwear. Please let us know if you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements. All dishes will be vegetarian. Some dishes may include dairy, gluten, nuts and seeds. Alternatives will be provided if prior notice is given. Half a bottle of wine per person (or equivalent) will be included in the price. Additional alcoholic drinks can be purchased at the event. Unlimited soft drinks are included.
